Origins: Stefans Diaries #1 by L.J. Smith This is the first novel I've read in over two weeks. Thanks a-lot reading slump I quite enjoyed this book. It was very interesting to read about the past of The Vampire Diaries involving Katherine, Stefan and Damon.

I also found being in Stefan's head great. There's not a whole lot to say about this book other than it was a great insight into the characters lives, and into what Mystic Falls was like pre the Salvatore brother's vampire days. You also get to Origins: Stefans Diaries #1 by L.J.

You also get to see what actually went down between Stefan and Damon, also with their father, which was all very compulsive. See what I did there;) I'd definitely recommend to fans of the Tv-Show or Books not that I've read the books!:).

What’s exciting about the Stefan’s Diaries series is that it's based on the characters in the TV show, not the ones in The Vampire Diaries books. That means picturing Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder as Stefan and Damon is encouraged. This first prequel volume, Origins, chronicles the Salvatores in 1864 when they first met Katherine and became vampires. Interestingly, dialogue straight from the show was included in the narrative (“That is a girl who wants to be chased.”), yet whole plot lines, like Stefan’s doomed engagement to Rosalyn, were added. Is that something Stefan will ever reveal to Elena? Likewise, things didn’t play out exactly the same way as on the show, which is confusing—isn’t this “what really happened” back then? Revisionist history much? For this type of book, it was written well; mechanically and grammatically, it was perfect. There were no typos.
